The Next Top 8…well maybe.
I gotta watch myself. I’m starting to get addicted to television…not so much “television” but more specifically serialized TV shows via DVD or DVR…so technically I still “don’t really watch TV.”
I just finished watching seasons 1 and 2 of this show on USA called The 4400. It’s pretty fakking good. Lost-good? Well, it doesn’t have the same funding/budget a show like Lost has, but I’d say the story’s pretty compelling, and none of the FX I’ve seen so far have made me think WTF. I found out about this show a few weeks ago upon learning about a new show airing on NBC come this Fall called Heroes. Both series remind me of a comic book series, written by J. Michael Straczynski, called Rising Stars.
So after I finished watching the season 2 finale of The 4400, I got to thinking about the shows I watch, and the noticeably uncelebrated characters on them that “save the day” and are pretty much the voices of reason especially in light of serialized television drama where 13 episodes later plot holes, continuity snafus, and OOC WTF behavior occurs from other characters. But these voices of reasons remain virtually immune from such taintings. These are the characters that the shows should have leading, if they aren’t already.
I’ve decided to change my Top 8 (pending upon when these profiles add me) to the beloved characters, whom if I were in the universe of their show or if those characters actually existed, that I would definitely be like “Sup, help, pls? FTW!” This Top 8 consists of characters embodying reliability and productivity. They don’t fuck around with the draaaaaa(short ‘a’ sound)ma and are continuously focused. They’re the reasons why you yell at other characters to get their shit together and question why the hell aren’t everyone else listening to them or valuing their input? The true heroes Dream Team of current TV Drama: (Still gotta wait for the profiles to add me, and I’ve come to the problem that some of them are lacking profiles still…but once they have their profiles, I’m totally adding them.)

Every single one of these guys is completely dependable, doesn’t half-ass anything, and totally can’t be taken down. Jack and Sayid can tactically do anything and neither one is a dummy. The two Chloe’s, Marco, and Veronica Mars have got investigation and analysis down on top of their combined hacker might. Maia is actually not annoying for a kid, and she’s a psychic who’s never wrong. Who wouldn’t want that gem around? Okay, Shawn…maybe he is a bit on the slow side, but in the event anyone else gets hurt, he’s Mr. Instant Cure dude. So he can stay. This team would never go down…unstoppable. They need to make a show with just these guys in it.
